Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Egg roll wrappers Egg roll wrappers Amount varies depending on how many you fill
  • Oil Oil for frying Use enough for deep frying

Method
 

Cooking the Filling
  1. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger, and chicken. Cook until chicken is browned.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes; stir and cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
Assembling the Egg Rolls
  1. Place a spoonful of the filling on an egg roll wrapper, fold, and seal the edges.
Frying the Egg Rolls
  1. In a deep pan, heat oil for frying. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  2. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Notes

Pro Tip: Don’t skip toasting the garlic — it makes all the difference in flavor. To reheat leftovers, use an oven or air fryer.
