Dough Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk warm
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Milk Mixture
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
Toppings
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Additional cinnamon for sprinkling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm.
  3. Add the warmed milk mixture, egg, and cinnamon to the flour mixture and knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then roll tightly into a log.
  2. Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking dish, letting them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  4. While the rolls are baking, mix the three milks together.
  5. Once baked, soak the rolls in the milk mixture and let them absorb for a few minutes.
  6. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for about 3-4 days in an airtight container, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave.
