  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Let it soften fully before mixing.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Can substitute with almond extract for variation.
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped You can substitute with other berries.
For Assembly
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp milk For egg wash.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For sprinkling on top.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add chopped strawberries to the cream cheese mixture and stir gently.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and press the edges to seal.
  7. Beat the egg with milk and brush it over the turnovers.
  8. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.
