Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into 1-inch thick slices to create your cabbage steaks.
- Place the cabbage slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
Cooking
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over both sides of the cabbage steaks.
- Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika over the cabbage steaks.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then flip each steak and roast for an additional 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For extra crispy edges, increase oven temperature to 450°F during the last few minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
