Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add granulated and brown sugars, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture, stirring to combine.
- Gently fold in the salted caramel sauce and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough before baking. Can substitute brown sugar with white sugar for a different flavor profile. Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature or freeze for up to three months.
