- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
If you want cookies with a deeper flavor, brown the butter before mixing. For crispier cookies, bake them an extra minute or two. Using mini chocolate chips can add a fun twist. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for later use.
