  • 1 package Lil' Smokies sausage
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned) Fresh adds lovely texture.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce Experiment with your favorite sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a slow cooker, combine the Lil' Smokies, pineapple chunks, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  2. Stir the mixture to ensure the smokies are well-coated with that sweet sauce.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 hours.
  4. Serve warm as a delightful snack or appetizer.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop until warmed through. For extra heat, add red pepper flakes.
