Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Use a muddler to break down the blackberries or blend for a smoother consistency.
  5. Allow to cool before using as a marinade or dipping sauce.

Notes

Store the sauce in a clean jar or airtight container in the refrigerator for about 1 to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze in small portions and thaw when ready to use. Experiment with different spices or herbs for variations.
