Ingredients
  

For the Cheese Sticks
  • 12 sticks mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs can use panko for extra crunch
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • as needed oil for frying preferably vegetable or canola oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut mozzarella sticks in half if desired.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
  3. Dredge each cheese stick in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry cheese sticks until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days. To retain crispiness, reheating in the oven is preferred over microwaving.
