Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- In a pan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the fat in the pan.
- Add olive oil to the pan if needed and add chicken pieces. Cook until lightly browned.
- Pour the maple mixture over the cooked chicken, then add the bacon back to the pan.
- Toss everything to coat well, then transfer to a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
- Serve warm.
Notes
These bites keep well in the fridge for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container. They freeze beautifully for about a month. For reheating, just pop them in a skillet or microwave until heated through. You can prep the chicken and glaze a day in advance.
