Main Ingredients
  • 8 slices slices of ham
  • 8 slices slices of cheese
  • 1 package package of puff pastry
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash)
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each rectangle.
  4. Fold the pastry over to enclose the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.

Notes

Keep a little room for the pastry to puff up. Mixing cheeses or adding sesame seeds can enhance flavor and texture. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
