Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and then stir in the sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Serving
  1. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled, with hot fudge if desired.
