  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently, until caramelized (about 15-20 minutes).
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in the French onion soup mix, mixing well to combine.
  5. Spoon the beef and onion mixture onto hamburger buns.
  6. Top each with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  7. Optional: Place under the broiler for a few minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter option, use ground turkey or chicken. Add sliced pickles for extra crunch or Worcestershire sauce for depth of flavor.
