  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Feel free to substitute with other cheeses.
  • 2 medium Jalapeños, diced Use fresh or pickled, adjust amount for spice preference.
Egg Roll Shells
  • 12 pieces Egg roll wrappers Can be found in most grocery stores.
Cooking Ingredients
  • 2 cups Oil for frying Choose a neutral oil with a high smoke point.
Dipping Sauce
  • to taste Dipping sauce of choice Suggestions: ranch, salsa, or spicy sauce.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, and diced jalapeños. Mix until well blended.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and add a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center.
  3. Fold the edges of the wrapper over the filling and roll it tightly, sealing with water if needed.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  3. Remove them from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain.
  4. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You can prepare the rolls in advance, and store them in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
