Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend (ensure it contains xanthan gum)
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
Optional Toppings
  • Melted butter For brushing
  • Fresh parsley For brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour and baking powder.
  2. Scoop the Greek yogurt into the bowl and stir with a sturdy spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a surface dusted with gluten-free flour. Gently fold and press for about one minute until soft.
Cooking
  1. Divide the dough into 4-6 even balls and flatten them to 1/4 inch thickness using your palm or a rolling pin.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes until golden-brown spots appear.
  3. Remove from heat and immediately brush with melted butter and fresh herbs, if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover naan in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, just pop it in a skillet for a minute or two until warm. Consider using silken tofu for a dairy-free option.
