Ingredients
  

For the Tacos
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce Use store-bought for convenience
  • as needed vegetable oil for frying
  • wonton wrappers Shaped into taco forms before frying
Toppings
  • shredded lettuce
  • grated carrots
  • chopped cilantro
  • sliced green onions
  • as needed sesame seeds, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and teriyaki sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Carefully shape wonton wrappers into taco shapes and fry until golden and crispy.
  4. Drain fried wontons on paper towels.
Assembly
  1. Fill each crispy wonton with the chicken mixture.
  2. Top with shredded lettuce, grated carrots, chopped cilantro, and green onions.
  3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For best results, fry the wontons just before serving to maintain their crunch. You can prepare the chicken ahead of time and just assemble at dinner time.
