Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups Shredded chicken Use store-bought rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce Can substitute with homemade white sauce or marinara.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Dough
  • 1 package Pizza dough Store-bought is fine.
Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For brushing on calzones.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Alfredo sauce and cheeses until well combined.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into circles.
  3. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  4. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges.
Cooking
  1. Brush the calzones with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Place the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve these calzones hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. These calzones keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer for crispiness. Consider adding garlic powder for extra flavor, and feel free to experiment with different cheeses or sautéed veggies for variations.
