Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas and then stir in the melted butter.
- Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in the flour until just combined.
- In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter, mixing until crumbly for the topping.
Baking
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with half the crumb topping.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and add the rest of the crumb topping.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm slices drizzled with honey or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days at room temperature, or slice and freeze for longer storage.
