Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional Toppings
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • guacamole

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and add the taco seasoning according to package instructions.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry or crescent roll dough and cut it into rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef on each rectangle and top with a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges. Brush with egg wash.
Baking
  1. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

For extra crispiness, brush a little more egg wash before baking. You can also mix in some pepper jack cheese for a spicy twist! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3–4 days or freeze them for up to 2–3 months, reheating in the oven for optimal texture.
