  • 4 slices Sourdough bread Butter one side of each slice
  • 4 slices Turkey slices Use deli turkey or leftover turkey
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses
  • 4 strips Bacon strips Cook until crispy
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For buttering the bread
  • to taste Salt Adjust according to preference
  • to taste Pepper Adjust according to preference

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Cook bacon until crispy and set aside.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Layer turkey slices, cooked bacon, and cheddar cheese between two slices of bread, buttered side out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
  5. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down slightly.
  6. Slice in half and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with fries, salad, or homemade chips. Best eaten fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 1 month.
