Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mash the black beans until smooth.
- Add the cornmeal, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and cumin, mixing until combined.
- Add water a little at a time until the dough holds together but is not sticky.
- Spread the dough out on a parchment-lined baking sheet to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut into triangles or desired shapes.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Allow to cool before serving with salsa or guacamole.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. You can freeze them for longer storage. For added flavor, experiment with spices like chili powder or paprika.
