  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the black beans until smooth.
  3. Add the cornmeal, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and cumin, mixing until combined.
  4. Add water a little at a time until the dough holds together but is not sticky.
  5. Spread the dough out on a parchment-lined baking sheet to about 1/8 inch thick.
  6. Cut into triangles or desired shapes.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. Allow to cool before serving with salsa or guacamole.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. You can freeze them for longer storage. For added flavor, experiment with spices like chili powder or paprika.
