Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, beef mixture, and ricotta cheese. Mix well.
- Transfer half of the rigatoni mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese on top.
- Layer the remaining rigatoni mixture and top with the remaining cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months. To reheat, use the oven or microwave until warmed through.
