Preparation

- In a large bowl, mix the brownie mix, mashed bananas, oil, and eggs until well combined.
- Stir in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.

Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frosting Preparation
- While the brownies cool, prepare the brown butter frosting. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk into the browned butter until smooth and spreadable.
Serving
- Once the brownies have cooled, spread the frosting over the top.
- Cut into squares and serve!
Notes
For best results, use overripe bananas for natural sweetness. These brownies can be stored in the fridge for up to a week in an airtight container. Warm them in the microwave for a gooey treat as needed.
