Ingredients
  

Dough ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup peeled and diced apples
Glaze ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix and stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Glazing
  1. To make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters and serve.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven for best results.
