Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French bread loaf diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces, keeping the base intact so the loaf holds together.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Gently spread the garlic-Parmesan mixture between each bread slice and lightly brush the top of the loaf with olive oil.
  5. Wrap the prepared loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the butter is melted and the bread is heated through.
  2. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the crust.
  3. Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm.
