Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the French bread loaf diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces, keeping the base intact so the loaf holds together.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Gently spread the garlic-Parmesan mixture between each bread slice and lightly brush the top of the loaf with olive oil.
- Wrap the prepared loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the butter is melted and the bread is heated through.
- Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the crust.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
